Download Solaris VMware xfree86 drivers, http://mostlysoftware.com/downloads/sunwxf86-vmware.tar.gz
Uncompress the file, "gunzip sunwxf86-vmware.tar.gz"
Unarchive the file, "tar -xvf sunwxf86-vmware.tar "
Install the package "pkgadd -d`pwd`"
You must install the SUNWxf86u package before you install the SUNWxf86r, otherwise you will have to start the process all the beginning.
Reboot and configure Solaris to use the VMware drivers, at this reboot Solaris should prompt you for the root's password so you can properly configure the display drivers. If not, you can use "kdmconfig" at the first opportunity.
可就是进行到pkgadd -d'pwd'这里时，根本就没有什么pwd呀，提示错误

solaris好像在vmware里对显卡支持不怎么好,顶多256位色,我看别人都是用x-win32来连的

哪位高手能帮忙解答？我都试验了许多次了，还是无法解决。

在执行pkgadd -d 'pwd' sunwxf86u(或sunwxf86r)时出现“与范例的格式不对应”“未对系统做任何改动”的错误，不能成功。

为何sunwxf86-vmware.tar.gz作成ISO文件虚拟成光盘或直接用ISO映射成光盘后，SOLARIS 直接读为sunwxf86-vmware.tar？？？

执行tar xf sunwxf86-vmware.tar总出现DIRECTORY CHECKSUM ERROR。（在SOLARIS 8和9是一样的结果）
