the services and daemons installed in my computer is as blow:(Mandriva 2006)
the 's' stand for "stop" and the 'r' for "run"

what's nfs? nfslock? nifd? oki4daemon? postfix? rawdevices? please

I guess 'nfs' maybe means 'network file system', and 'oki4daemon' means oki printer driver for daemon.
what's daemon? the application of virtual cd-rom?

Daemon应该是系统的精灵进程吧，也就是在系统运行过程运行在后台的一些服务程序

怎么2006多了这么多服务,上面问的我都认识,不过楼主列出的其中几个我没有见过
