End of ReiserFS?

Just saw the shocking news of Hans Reiser, the developer of ReiserFS in distrowatch.com.

I started wondering if there is a easy way to move out of ReiserFS... anyone knows if I tar everything in my partition, format the partition as another filesystem (say ext3), and then untar my tarball to the formatted partition, will things work?

Am going to try it out after I tidy up with my box. But appreciate answers from anyone who already knows.

Is this the end of ReiserFS as we know it?

可以试试ext4. 不过我相信reiserfs不会倒。开源项目少了谁都一样。

刚看到关于hans reiser轰动性的新闻,hans reiser 是watch.com中reiserfs文件系统的开发者.
我开始怀疑是否有一个简单易行的办法摆脱reiserfs文件系统..有人知道不知道是否我用tar 来做分区影象,也就是说我用ext3文件系统来格式化linux分区,然后用untar安装影象到该分区,系统会运行吗?
我正在整理机子,尔后我会试下.但必须向有经验的人取经.

对我这样的桌面级用户来说影响非常小，用那个磁盘格式很多时候是个人喜好和先入为主。这个格式用到最后大多版本如果都不支持了，那就换一种格式，顶多是花上点时间。
