***mbpr late 2013 RAM & Battery 问题***

Hi guys,

I'm planning to buy the latest model of MacBook Pro with retina display. I've just got some questions about the ram and its battery life.
1) The mac will be mainly used for website browsing, document handling, YouTube watching. Is 4g ram enough for use over a couple of years in future?
2) I wanna know the battery life in actual use. According to apple, it is around 9 hours, but in reality, is it the same as what Apple claims? Some people said its even longer when it's running on maverick, is it true?

1) 4GB Ram is fair enough for web browsing and light duty.
2) More than 5 hours.

RE Q1: I got 8gb ram and 256 sdd from apple retail store.
As I don't think 128ssd is enough for me.
Also, i guess 8gb ram will be better if you will use it for couple of years

Q2:
if you turn off the keyboard light, set the brightness of your screen to min level.
it can last for something like 7 hours with just simple web browsing without flash.

= Yes, it is sufficient for your tasks, just keep in mind you will need a bit more ram if you are planning to handle large excel spreadsheet, etc.. In terms of using a couple years in future, I would maximize the ram, considered that it is soldered on board.

= For the haswell model, you don't have to worry about the battery life that much. There are always some differences in what OEM claims their battery life and it also largely depends on your usage.
