This is a new version of the project's older, legacy branch builtby the recompiling the source package for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4.8:"The CentOS development team is pleased to announcethe release of CentOS 4.8 for i386 and x86_64 architectures. New inthis release: there is a technology preview of OpenOffice.org 2.0included in the updates directory. Known issues: there is a requirementto swap in CD-1 during the install phase of CD-4 during some installswhen the comps RPM is required to be installed; an upstream bug withthe 3c59x Ethernet driver has been encountered during testing; thereare issues with the i586 support on the AMD K6II processor...."
