Soren Jacobsen has announced the release of NetBSD 5.0.1: "TheNetBSD Project is pleased to announce that version 5.0.1 of the NetBSDoperating system is now available. NetBSD 5.0.1 is the firstsecurity/critical update of the NetBSD 5.0 release branch. Itrepresents a selected subset of fixes deemed critical in nature forsecurity or stability reasons. Please note that all fixes insecurity/critical updates (i.e., NetBSD 5.0.1, 5.0.2, etc.) arecumulative, so the latest update contains all such fixes since thecorresponding minor release. These fixes will also appear in futureminor releases (i.e., NetBSD 5.1, 5.2, etc.), together with otherless-critical fixes and feature enhancements."
