如何用 Vmware workstation 3.1.1 安装Solaris 8 for x86

Vmware3.1.1 能够在一台主机上，安装多个操作系统并同时运行。我已成功在WinXP上同时运行 Redhat 7.2. 现请教如何安装Solaris8 for x86.

请问,我的Vmware workstation 3.1.1 为什么不好用?

环境为;  win2000 server
      ntfs分区

我想安装windows 98,但界面启动后就进行不下去了,查看log有

C:\Program Files\VMware\VMware Workstation\Programs\config.ini: 系统找不到指定的文件。

It is very easy to add win98 host by vmware. I think you must do a wrong operation. You can download vmware manual from vmware homepage. It can help.

BTW.
I knew the reason why can't install Solaris 8 via vmware.
To install solaris 8, you should configure the CD-Rom with Raw mode. But my CD-Rom is SCSI interface, and AMI Bios not allow to configure start with SCSI CD-Rom. So, that is the problem.

Ok, i can help u to solve this problem.

Menu:

Setting --> Configuration Editor --> DVD/VCD-Rom --> Check "Enable raw access".

By now, you can enjoy your Solaris x86.

But you should confirm your cdrom is not SCSI interface.

我在安装freebsd45时,已经进入到安装界面,但最后安装的时候提示:

Warining : hd: no root disk controller was found
