编译arm linux 出现‘sys_wait4' 错误？

我按照KARIM的《构建嵌入式linux系统》所描述的方法，在RedHat9.0上建立基于Arm处理器的交叉开发工具完成以后。编译linux内核，已打过arm补丁。

到$make ARCH=arm CROSS_COMPILE=arm-linux- zImage
这一步时，刚开始就提示错误，大概如下：

conflicting types for 'sys_wait4'

extern declaration of 'sys_wait4' doesn't match global one

有关的文件是/include/asm/unistd.h
            /include/linux/sched.h

配置内核时除CPU做了选择外其余全部默认。

请问这是什么问题引起的呢？
