重装windows后grub的问题(是windows进不去了!!)

原本WINDOWS和LINUXREDHAT9双系统.重装WINDOWS后,为了修复GRUB就按论坛上贴子的做法修复.
chroot /mnt/sysimage
grub-install /dev/hda1(曾为了尝试,打了很多hd*,hda0之类的)
现在引导画面和以前一样,LINUX和DOS,但是WINDOWS没有办法进去,选择后没有反映,还是在引导画面上.
我是菜鸟,请高手帮忙了!

我又重装了次WINDOWSXP,在重新安装GRUB时候发现命令grub-install /dev/hda1应为hda,现在两个系统都可以进了.看来还是对MBR和HD*之类的不太了解.不过还是希望有高手解释下为什么HD1就不行了呢?为什么有双系统引导画面但WINDOWS进不去呢?

grub-install /dev/hda 是写入mbr的重装windows,mbr有可能被改写。
grub-install /dev/hda6 (hda6是 / )写入linxu分区，但要把活动分区改成此分区，就可以引导了

grub如何安装的？

grub-install就是安装了~~
楼主可以修改grub.conf 直接添上语句~引导windows
而gurb-install /dev/hda1就是把grub安装在第一块HD的第一个区上（非MBR）
而grub-install /dev/hda是把grub安装在MBR上
