一个关于启动过程的问题

请问在启动的时候/etc/rc.d/下的rc.M是怎么被调用的。
我现在的slackware 9启动后，eth0总是不启动。
用ifconfig -a可以看到eth0
ifconfig看不到eth0
/etc/rc.d/rc.inet1已经配置过了
进入系统后，手动/etc/rc.d/rc.M可以启动eth0
/etc/rc.d/rc.M是可执行权限的


有没有兄弟，知道为什么会这样？

# 0 = halt
# 1 = single user mode
# 2 = unused (but configured the same as runlevel 3)
# 3 = multiuser mode (default Slackware runlevel)
# 4 = X11 with KDM/GDM/XDM (session managers)
# 5 = unused (but configured the same as runlevel 3)
# 6 = reboot

/etc/rc.d/rc.M是由/etc/inittab调用的
