安装gentoo后重启出现问题，请大家帮忙 （已解决）

开机时出现：
VFS mounted root (reiserfs filesystem) readonly
mounting /dev for udev (oops)
然后就出现让我输入密码或是ctrl+d
输入密码后就是
(none) #
系统为只读

我的root是reiserfs，已经把reiserfs支持编译进内核.

我的内核是手动编译的，如果换成genkernel编译的，就能正常启动，看来是内核的关系，从网上找了很久，发现一个原因：
我的电脑是intel 的板子，原来我没有把Intel PIIXn chipsets support编译进内核，后来把它加进去了，还是不行，状况依旧。

请大家帮忙看看，我这到底是什么原因

顺便问两个问题：
1.VFS是启动所有LINUX都肯定出现的吗？
2.我编译内核时没有加入模块支持，而是把所有东西都编译进内核了，这样可以吗？

问题已经解决：原来是我没有加入Virtual memory的支持，真是疏忽大意呀，手册看了不下十遍，还是出错了，谢谢楼下两位帅哥的帮忙，以后还要向你们多多学习

1.vfs是现代操作系统的必备组件，virtual file system
现代操作系统都是分层的，vfs就是其中一层
下面就是具体的文件系统驱动
再往下就是存储设备驱动

一般人这里出现的错误要么是缺少具体的文件系统驱动，要么是缺少存储设备驱动。这两个都要编译进内核。

2.如果你所有必需的东西都编译进了内核，没有问题。不过建议，还是加上模块的支持。省事。万一需要临时加一个驱动就不需要重起了

配置内核前，先make defconfig，然后在此基础上make menuconfig
