我整理的一个超简单的步骤：
内核打补丁，编译之
安装splashutilities
下载splash主题
修改cfg文件中关于图片路径的设置
把主题图片插入到initrd中
/sbin/splash -s -f /etc/bootsplash/themes/yourtheme/config/bootsplash-1024x768.cfg > /boot/initrd.splash
修改grub启动参数
重启
内核打补丁，编译之
安装splashutilities
下载splash主题
修改cfg文件中关于图片路径的设置
把主题图片插入到initrd中
/sbin/splash -s -f /etc/bootsplash/themes/yourtheme/config/bootsplash-1024x768.cfg > /boot/initrd.splash
修改grub启动参数
重启

参照一下你的步骤，我当初在LFS6.3上只搞好了图片，但无法进入系统，死机了，哈，不知道什么问题。
编译bootsplash-3.1.tar.bz2时，make失败，难道缺少Makefile补丁？内核是2.6.22.5，已经打入相应的bootsplash补丁(.diff)
把主题图片插入到initrd中
/sbin/splash -s -f /etc/bootsplash/themes/Linux/config/bootsplash-1024x768.cfg >> /boot/initrd.splash
修改grub启动参数，后面加上vga=791 splash=silent initrd /boot/initrd.splash
请大人帮忙！
