how to set LANG etc

I want to use en_us,but in this way,wo cannt use fcitx..In debian,I only set LANG_CTYPE=zh_CN.UTF-8,fcitx works good.how about you?

LC_CTYPE="zh_CN.utf8" is enough

我是自己在 /etc/profile.d/ 加了文件设置，不过似乎 /etc/environment 文件也可以。

那我的必须两个都设置了才可以.我想要英文的环境,可以输入中文,中文的文档大开也能看.可以么

英文环境使用fcitx,只需修改/etc/gtk-2.0/gtk.immodules。

LANG=en_US.utf8
LC_CTYPE=zh_CN.utf8

我的现在能输入了，可是fcitx的面板，and 代选的词语都是数字根子母。。。难受阿
我控制台运行。

难道你没有中文字体？装一下中文字体，配置一下~/.fcitx/config

1, download 文泉驿正黑 from http://downloads.sourceforge.net/wqy...se_mirror=osdn

2, unzip to /usr/share/fonts/

3, run command:
cd /usr/share/fonts/wqy-zenhei-0.5.23/

mkfontdir .
mkfontscale .
fc-cache -fv

ln -sf /usr/share/fonts/wqy-zenhei-0.5.23/44-wqy-zenhei.conf /etc/fonts/local.conf
