any release of slack for i586, i686 etc?

I noticed all the slackware packages are for i486 and upper.
Are there some slack release that compiled for i686, i586
or even PIII, PIV so that we can make full usage of the
present cpus. Otherwise, I think we are wasting part of the
present cpuss' functions. Please don't tell me to re-compile
the kernel. What I want is to get all the packages compiled
for a specific group of cpus. I am sure, if such a release
exist, the speed of slack can be improved one more step.
I know gentoo is good at this aspect, but I don't want to
keep compiling everything again and again.

Not sure if Vector Linux is.

Arch Linux is i686-based. but it is not based on Slackware.
