我有上一代airport extreme + HKBB 1000MB speed test 得个78MB 到, 想问下新嗰个extreme 会唔会快D呀??

Ps: 我用紧MacBook Pro early 2008, MacBook Pro mid 2010

Other than speedtest.net, which website can give you close to 78MB?

I did try speediest.net at this moment.
Of cause I did try the HKBB speed test, they said my speed is around 800MB, of cause I am not trust with that website.
That why I am thinking should ingest the new AirPort Extreme to get a better speed result.

So did anyone use the new AirPort Extreme ac connect with some old Mac with 802.11n ??
Will it be much faster or the same speed ??

My point is, I know you guys in HK has giga internet, but it is pointless unless you have many people using it in the same network.

Because even Apple/Microsoft's website can only offer 4-6MB/sec max for download speed.

I am using Verizon FOIS 15/5, and it is already US$55 per month, 150/65 is US$135 per month... As this rate, the giga internet should be around US$700 here, would you pay that much for just home internet? How many country can offer giga internet at a reasonable price?

So why would router company care about this wan to lan speed?

Hong Kong,Japan and South Korea may provided giga internet services.
Service Charge around HK$800 for 1000MB Subsidized housing user and it must not more than $900.

Most of people is make use of internet for Multi-storey Multi-storey residential user is surfering speed under 100/200M and the charge is not more HK$200

Your devices are "N" chipset,the max speed may not improved too much.
New one may provided strong signal and it may be works stabile and not easy to disconnected.

So... you see my point? 2 countries...

Most importantly... other than speedtest.net/BT, we can't even use 50% of the max bandwidth.
