Turbo Boost 有实制作用吗？

最新mac book air出左喇，粒新u数字上1「只」有1.3GHz ，咁唔识野（包括我）既人睇，点解数字上越来越既呢？仲要四个型号都系同一粒，无分高底，但系佢就话粒u有样野叫，Turbo Boost加速至 2.6GHz？其实，有无人知系咪真既呢？

因为，奇怪既地方系，无理由佢四部都同一粒u，变左无分别？今到我觉得Turbo Boost有Ｄ料到？

ps：而新u数字上越来越细，而家新游戏机都系，ps4系1.8GHz（但八核，可能系1.8GHzx8）

Haswell has high ratio turbo booster and cpu efficiency. For instance, office suite needed little power whereas rendering sucks up everything. However, MBA is for casual all day use, battery reservation weighed far more important.
Apple never advertise MBA cpu power, but mentioned ~+40% on GPU, SSD & battery.

Yes.
For small application, the clock speed can go even lower than 1.3GHz.

If you have Sandy Bridge or above, download the app from Intel. See how the cpu watts and clock speed fluctuate among different applications.
As a matter of fact, this is a developer tool to test their program's power efficiency. But we can use this to determine which is a better app ( e.g. test among browsers), or understand what app drain your battery.
