受新版android apps设计指南,
好多apps UI都靓而实用好多
而iOS好多限制,UI又老土,Mon也令可显示的野减少

erm. ok.  I'll refrain from listing the apps that I'm still waiting for Android support.  One thing I have to say is that yes, thank god they finally have a good set of "设计指南".

Now it's up to developers to follow those.

And my bet is ....NO. Because "why" to follow?

Honestly speaking, following those guides give no benefit to developers. it just benefits the end-users. And the end users could get the benefit if and only if all developers follow the same guides. That's why iOS apps are easy to use even it is the first time an user open it.

On iOS, if one does not follow the guidelines, the App will not be approved on App Store. Very simple and strong encouragement.

Oh shit yea definitely Bro, I wish Google had that at the beginning of Android.  Apple've had that Human Interface Guideline since I don't know, the Mac OS 9 days? And the good thing about it is that Mac app developers actually take those guideline very seriously because they want their app to "feel like it belong to the platform".

It's a good thing, and I guess I wish it did come in sooner from Google, and definitely better later than never.

Another way Apple try to encourage good quality apps is that they feature some of them in the store, and even in TV Spots.  Your sales would skyrocket if you get featured by Apple.  Think of another platform company that put their developers' apps on International TV spots, that's huge incentive to make apps that's cool, polish and special.
