ubuntu9.10下安装10.2.0.1成功后打补丁升级到10.2.0.4出错？？？

我下载的文件是 mysql-5.1.52-linux-x86_64-glibc23.tar.gz
解压后按照官网上介绍的安装步骤安装（http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.1/zh/installing.html#installing-binary）
执行到这一步 scripts/mysql_install_db 的时候，
报错，异常信息如下：
./bin/my_print_defaults:
2:Syntax error: end of file unexpected

Please configure the 'hostname' command to return a correct

好象要修改/etc/hostname和/etc/hosts这两个文件，但是我不知道要添加什么内容，请各位高手指点一下如何修改，非常感谢！
