Most likely it is a used, display item.

Did you have the welcome screen(follow by username/password setup...) when you first start up the Mac?

Hmm... dmg file is like exe file for PC... for a new computer, the trash should be clean...

I do understand your concern...

Was the box sealed with plastic?

Check the battery cycle? It should less than 2 if it is brand new.

Also check the warranty date with the page below, just have to enter the serial #.

新机应该没有 Adobe Flash, 仲要有 Installer 喺垃圾桶，手脚唔干净。
你部似系 demo 机扮新机。

的确可以 reset 后，出欢迎画面。

I receive my computer on 21/10 and i have recharge it twice.

Moreover, the warranty coverage page displayed (mid, 2013) beside my model number. What does that date mean?

当我打了我的SERIAL NUMBER之前, 佢叫我入APPLE ID
但我之前从来没有用MACBOOK AIR 以APPLE ID 登入

It could be be testing from Apple, like mine is modified version(8GB RAM, 256GB), according to Apple, they have to test the machine, it makes sense that the machine has 1-2 power cycle on the battery.

So whats the warranty expatriation date for your laptop?
