learning C or java ?

I am from 4 now, i want to learn program ,
But i am perplexed on which one is better to start and How to start . I have a C book but i almost totally dont understand what the book try to express .

I think i need a teacher...

成日有人问呢个问题。

If this is school related, talk to ICT teacher in your school for recommendation. If you ask me to choose between C & Java only, choose Java.

If it is not school related, there are more choices. You may look at Python also.

If u are using iphone, go for c, c can be use for write ios apps

If u are using android, go for java, java is the language to write android apps

Btw, java is object oriented while c is not

iOS applications are written in objective-C, which is dialect of C with OO extension. It can look very different from ISO C. Learning C alone is not sufficient to do iOS development.

如果第时想o向银行(or 大机构)整网页就学 Java。
如果第时想o向中小型公司整网页就学 PHP (即系学 C)。

学 Java

开头学先跟 d sample 由头打过 d code，再 run。

IDE 学 Java 可以用 Eclipse
IDE 学 C 可以用 Visual Studio Express

但关於学C, 听人讲用Visual Studio不太好,
用eclipse会好些, 因.net platform本身做了太多嘢, 及不标准
(我本身懂java, 不懂c)
