2013, Macbook air 13吋, i5 1.3GHZ, 8GB RAM, 平时上网,睇片,写Apps, Macbook air 13吋, 点睇?够顺?够好?因为屋企已有Desktop, 唔想买多部Desktop (imac),
Macbook Por又无Budget

最少最少都请买256, 128你唔洗几耐就会后悔, 但升唔升到上512就自己决定喇, 我建议就系你真系大把钱冇地方洗就升啦, 我自己今日到果部MBA 13就冇升到, 因为256升512个差价实在大到我买2只3T ge WD EXT. HDD返来都得, 反正都系要留钱买返只EXT HDD返来行Time Machine做backup, 咁不如升512果D钱要黎买HDD好过啦至於效能够唔够用, 个人认为一般写少量code, 唔系太heavy ge工作肯定冇问题, 但真系太大ge apps, 解码果D都系交返比desktop做啦

2013 MBA 减左基本价， 512 option 又比往年平左好多。

305 GB 系 Parallels pvm files (~150) , 大量 pdf, mail, doc etc.
有个小小 partition for developer program , testing。无乜 games。
贪 MBA 佢轻薄， perfect mobile device ! 带住 ext drive 出街就无意思了。

对於不太重要的资料

其实可以考虑放系 SD card

sandisk 有 128GB 45MB/s 的 sd card ( life time 保

）

The more storage devices you have, the harder to do backup...

我自己就唔带ext drive出街ge，因为我自己系屋企起左私人云，配合4G上纲其实出街都系一部机就得，就算冇带机都可以用手机拎到data，我觉得ching可以考虑下，咁样日后买机个cost可以悭唔少

我还是喜欢 self sustaining 的东西。
上大陆公干，我不能容忍慢速 up/down; 在飞机云端，更是与世隔绝。
带 SD 咭，等如回复到 n 年前，出街 notebook + CD jewel box/sleeve。 SD 1 = music, SD 2 = doc, SD 3 = porn ..........。

iPad 我都系有大买大 ( 也买了 Music Match，只是 backup 而非主要为 internet streaming。

好像是 ~$1000 ? 两只 =$2000 @45 MB/s
MBA upgrade from 256 to 512 = $2340 @700+ MB/s
IMHO, 我选择后者。

我有随身 16 GB key chain USB，是抽水或过料用，而非系统的伸延。

我都有私人cloud, Music 用 iTunes Match, Video 用 NAS 或 Air Video stream.
但 MBA 512GB 都窄窄地, 仲有乜偈?

This case only work when you are in HK.

I have nas for few years already... but I don't really use it as a private cloud storage, not because the internet is slow between home and office, it is because it makes no sense if I don't have an offline copy on my smartphone or laptop.

It is easy to have 4G LTE coverage in a small city/area, it is impossible in NY.

u need to keep staying in the city if u want to use mobile network in NY
that's y we can't only use the cloud storage and we also need a local to save some important files

If I have to manage the files with 2 tasks... I would rather stick with Dropbox/Google drive.

Of course I am just talking about the documents, as for Media, it has to be on NAS.

在汽车公路上，不论 I-95 or 深广高速，都唔系 internet super highway。就算只想一生留在香港，都要睇下屋企、公司的固网速度。至於4G，limited or unlimited? 一年的额外付出多少少$?
