oh..new iMac has no DVD Rom..

My job need to read client's CD. I just changed a new IMac but surprised to find it has no CD ROM...need to buy an external one...bad..why it has no DVD ROM? how to watch DVD if there is no DVD Rom?

the problem is i just hardly persuade my boss to change the IMAC that was 5 years old. Now i need to ask him again to buy a DVD Rom and i am sure he will kill me...

你建议老板买野，实物又唔睇，SPEC 又唔睇。怨边个？ MAC PRO 一样无咋。

其中一个原因系dvd被淘汰
而重有一个原因，我觉得系想消费者用多啲iTunes Store

任何野都应该睇清楚先买
好多一体机仲保留dvd rom，
如果你无法接受desktop要额外驳dvd rom，你大可以买其他机

Apple 一向出手快夹狠，正如一代 iMac 取消 floppy。
4.7 GB 在今天的 internet super highway，半粒钟咋。
我又唔觉好关 iTunes 事，肯洗钱嘅追求 lossless quality + fancy jewel box，精叻仔就 BT。
Windows, Adobe, EA, Google, Amazon, Apple, etc, 都玩 internet download。趋势就系咁。

就算系 CD/DVD, 我一样 copy去 server算.

我而家只有 OS/Acronis仲系用碟, 两三下又有 scratches, 火都来.

thanks brother...i agree it is my fault not to check...in fact it is my boss's fault...he see the new maverick OS free of charge and he ask me to download it in the Mac...then it becomes very slow...luckily my colleague give me a old IBM external dvd rom...not need to buy...

以前有都越来越小用，之后冇用
Email容量大，又有dropbox, icloud等，send野储存都方便。usb手指又平，真是间中烧野俾人可以俾手指。
用左新imac，完全唔觉有影响
