两个Time Machine 问题

今日去Apple攞番部机, 谂住用TM restore番所有野, 之前做好晒backup, 仲用左两个唔同既ext.hhd黎做左2组TM backup(TM01, TM02),
但系按住comd+R restore既时候, Restore dialog box 话需要一个完整既backup,
追索到系一个月之前, 即系我开多一个ext,hhd 做TM backup既果日….

即系我呢一个月既TM backup唔系完整既backup, 直情系backup唔到, 好彩我仲有做到CCC clone左部机, 而家clone番过去希望无问题la...

问题系我开两个 backup 点解系唔完整?? 咁我日后要点先可以完整backup?? delete 新果个 TM02 backup就可以??…

但系我开Time Machine个app既时候系开到4﹣5月中既backup架, 只系comd R restore时只系4月先至系完整…点解呢??….

Did you try to unplug/unmount one TM disk, and plugin only one disk to do the restore?

You problem never heard and I never experienced. What OS you use?

Both TM disks should be identical, except the latest one hour difference.

If you want to recover missing files, you can use finder to open the TM, locate them and drag to the desktop. PROVIDED you did not re-write the TM.
For iPhoto, just drag the whole library to desktop/an ext disk, then open it and export to yr Mac. After that, quit. OPTION click re-open iPhoto and select the Library in Pictures Folder.

Everyone should read this post, good for you not only you have two TM backups but also a Carbon Copy Cloner back up. People just don't realize the importance until it's too late.

用紧10.8.5, 插一只同两只都试过晒, 都系得4月头既backup可以用comd R restore, 我最奇怪系点解enter time machine时又可以见翻4-5月中既backup, 我啱啱又试过comd R restore, 连寻晚backup左都无show出黎, 但enter time machine又见到我寻晚既backup….

好彩CCC果边暂时未发现大问题, 用住先, 请问我系咪应该取消左TM02先? 而家两个TM都系果D料黎..我想日后每次backup都完整可以用comd R restore所有野....

你是在旧硬件 (2012?) 备份，可能换了硬件不受落?

如果新机，我会用 Migration Assistance，慢慢选择，防止旧垃圾灌入。
现成机瓜左 (system damage or whatever)，我才用 TM 倒模。

wiki 有一段未经证实，我也不了解会否是因你换了新硬件有关 (说实，我睇唔明)。

Mountain Lion / Mavericks Compatibility Issues[edit]Coding differences between OSX Mountain Lion and Mavericks have resulted in fundamental compatibility issues related to Time Machine system restoration functionality. Time Machine backups created by Apple computers purchased as recently as late 2012 cannot be used for system restoration on 2013 or 2014 models. The backups are readable only by the computer that created them and thus prompt an error message "backup was created by an older model." As a result, any unrepairable hard drive failure or "system crash" on a 2012 (or earlier) Apple computer leaves the Time Machine user vulnerable to massive data loss, unable to restore their operating system via Time Machine on a newer replacement computer using the backups from the disabled unit.[citation needed]

咁我唯有delete左个TM02试下可唔可以完整backup先, 唔掂就再谂计, thanks a lot...

取消左TM02都唔得…情况一样...

啱啱试左开terminal paste 左 “sudo defaults delete /Library/Preferences/com.apple.TimeMachine.plist SkipSystemFiles”

reboot后run time machine…唔work, 最latest 既full backup 都系4月7...

啱啱又再backup一次, restart 再 comd R restore, check到寻晚至现在既所有backup, 终於正常番鸟...

大家都check下稳阵D la..唔系到出事先知就多好多功夫..

平时CHECK TM D FILES O系度
但要 SYSTEM REINSTALL 先发现有问题

冇乜理由会得闲试下开机 COMM R 试 SYSTEM REINTALL 架.....

系要

开机 COMM R 试 restore from time machine 先check 到, 所以我先至领野...
