Belkin Thunderbolt Express dock

This is one piece of pricey shit as a docking station for all Macbook. Lucky I bought it from Apple store and they offer me 15% off for business purchase with company account. For over 2k HKD what this dock really offer? not like normal docking from Sony, this is NOT a snap in dock. In fact it don't even offer the KEY connecting part - Thunderbolt cable to connect it to your Macbook! (As I stated at below 3 points possible to refine this product) So is it really not worth to buy? May be or may not, honestly this is not something you really need for Macbook. But if you don't mind this expensive price tag and you start wonder what the FXXK to do with your thunderbolt port, then it might be well enough for you to try out. As it is a thunderbolt dock for all include a Giga ethernet port, USB3.0x3, speaker and mic jack and 2 thunderbolt ports (but you need one to connect to your Macbook) With this dock you can now nicely connect all devices with just one thunderbolt port to your Macbook and seamlessly access every devices connected.

But of course there are 3 drawback for this dock.
1) Price of course! Offical price is HKD2480! This already explain all!
2) The box does not come with a thunderbolt cable which is a must have cable in order for the whole thing to work! So you have to pay extra $200 for the cable for Apple.
3) As a perfect dock, it should include the power supply to the Macbook like the 27" thunderbolt display from Apple. Because this dock already came with a big AC adaptor to power connected devices, why should provide extra power for the Macbook?

B. If this thing included extra power supplier and AC outlet, at least add 45-85 watts output. The form factor cannot accommodate.

2480 我宁愿贴多 5k 买 Thunderbolt Display

Yes! you are right! But Thunderbolt display was out almost 3years without any upgrade, so if people want to buy might well already bought it or not probably due to its high price! Belkin $2480+any 27"LCD is $3000 still cheaper.....

Apple display of course not, but many other brands can.

Technically yes! But since we are consumer why don't let those technical difficulty for Belkin to figure out? We don't have to make up excuse for them.
