Buffalo router wzr-hp-g300nh2 connection problem

I am using icable 10mb broadband n will upgrade to 100mb. Just buy the new buffalo router but fail to connect the internet for setup, even according to the official guideline n "no server is detected" shows. I ve connected the cable properly but still fail. I am originally using an old model of buffalo n no proper so far. Would anyone pls help to provide some advices? Many many thanks!
