用开MacBook, 最近买左部iMac,用咗条Ethernet 同 Migration utility 将成部Macbook抄咗过去，但系如果我想平时用MacBook 或者imac时，有冇apps可以用来互sync. Thanks.

What exactly you want to sync? If you want to sync files, dropbox can do.

If you want to sync app data, icloud-enable app will do.

Dropbox or NAS~

I know many people ran into this problem... no matter if they are on Android or iPhone, PC or Mac...

When people complain about why we need iTunes to sync the data to the iOS devices... just go with SD card... then I know they don't organize their stuff...

Thanks so much for your quick response. Basically I want to sync those doc and ppt files. I wonder if I can use the Ethernet cable to sync the two computers. I ask this because I heard using the Dropbox is quite slow. And I don't trust putting too much information in the internet. Thanks.

All you data is basically secure using icloud or dropbox through encryption so no one can get their hands on.

Yes going NAS would be a way if you don't trust online service providers but it should be noted that 'cloud' is becoming a norm so you might want to give a try.

如果唔想花钱买 NAS，又信唔过 cloud service，用 File Sharing (System Pref/Sharing/File Sharing)吧。
iMac 作 main source，总之最 update 就放回这里。再加上两台机都有 Time Machine 的话，找回 previous versions 都不难。
有些 app 可做两台机的 folder or file auto scheduled synchronisation，但弄不清楚 sync, merge, replace，便不如每次手动。

如果两部Mac都会用黎做相同野,schedule sync 跟本做吾到两边都up-to-date,除非将个schdule尽量做密佢姐,但实际会吾会咁做呢
但如果纯做backup,ok嘅
但都要睇清楚merge,replace,...

Thanks so much for all these tips. I'll probably try NAS or something similar. If I don't want to rely on the network, is there anything that I can use a thunderbolt cable for file sync.
