话说前晚部mbp 同app store upgrade mountain lion.
download 完之后，
开始安装restart 后部机完全著唔到。
今天攞去Genuous bar 都著唔到
quote 4k 换底板，
apple 真系垃圾。
我只想请教大家有无方法系hd抄返iphoto d 相出来

部机刚过3年，平时都唔多用，
一upgrade 就死板，真系咁桥。
唔整了，只系想搵办法攞翻d 相。

it was bought at 2010. 15" MBP unibody. just past 3 years mentioned before.

Sony, Lenovo & HP laptop我全部坏过...

Sony 15" laptop, 话要 replace monitor, 其实只系 replace左条 cable, ~US$3xx大元.

HP… 搞左 3个多月, 机都唔见埋…

Lenovo… sigh… less than 1year old machine, don even have part to replace...

整厂机就系甘... 2年机以上, 我买过部好过.

pc 又唔一定无事，我个囡用用吓部行pc 机(lenxxx think centre core2duo)突然reboot 后死哂，hardware 问题，之后我用部新pc, mount 个 hd 抄番是相落去，一样okay.
资料点都要做backup紧要。我刚刚用部旧macbook 试吓个10.9 beta,一装又死，好彩用只os 碟boot 到再format,之前有用 TM backup 可以恢复。Pc就麻烦d, d build in backup software差d. Mac 个 TM 可以还原到.
讲番你个 data 问题，你可以买个usb 盒装番个旧hd, 找部 mac mount 番佢，找番你个使用者 a/c. iphoto内个 Library right click 开个package, 内容，应该d相在那里。
但如果你根本是死hd,咁你要出去找公司帮手.

唔好意思唔明师兄觉得个笑位系边，我有只external 的nas 有行time machine backup. 对上一次full backup 都系一个月内。不过现在系完全开唔到机，TM backup 都无用

唔需要客气，最紧要是大家互助，无话边个唔会出问题，不过你用PC想抄HFS＋ FORMAT HD ,要先装SOFTWARE
LIKE ： MACDRIVE或者HFSExplorer 0.21. 这类SOFTWARE。

Use other Mac to restore from TM then export. Likewise, you need Windows to restore Win database.

Also give you other cue:
TM & backups.backupdb

thanks, 唔讲都唔知 mac 机个 file system 叫 hfs. 要装野read, 我试下跟条link 做。搵部陈年dell laptop 试下。希望read 返d相。查实iphoto 嘅相系放咩directory 架？

thanks, I will try to read the hdd from window suggested by slauhk c hing first. if it dont work, is there any way to read the content of tm backup from window or linux?

我唔系个 D Apple绝对无敌既人, 电脑就系信唔过.

甘你认为咩情况先可以死 logic board? 聴你口气, 应该有一番理论.

公司早几日 APC UPS又死左只 battery, 佢只系 power backup, 一年都冇用过佢 600mins(if the building to do power cycle for 10mins weekly), 甘就要 replace… 好彩我阿头冇问我点解.

我每次 update前一定做左 Time Machine先, $我有, 但系我同一时间只会有一部 personal computer, 有乜唔好彩(software-patches, software installation/hardware-it could happen at anytime), 我 D data仲系自己手上.

OS patches相等於 surgery, Microsoft既我只做 SP/IE bug fix, Mac我就乜都做(because of TM).

Condom都系得 99%啦.

To read Mac HFS+ from pc, try MacDrive as #16 suggested by slauhk.

Instead of going thru all the hassles to read from your dead macbook disk, why not try to retrieve from the TM directly???

TM/Data/~/Backups.backupdb, select the latest date, find the ~/Pictures/iPhoto Library, right click to open [Show Content Package], them painfully copy the Master(Original) & Modified(Edited). This way certainly work on any Mac to any TM.

Your photos will be saved but not the database.

再次多谢slauhk 师兄教路，HDD 内的相已成功用HFSExplorer copy 出来 backup了。

亦顺道检查 mountain lion 的installation log 及 system log.
确认自 mountain lion restart request 后，
shutdown 后就再无写bootup 的log.

其实之前都提到有一个月内TM 的backup，呢部mbp我其实一个月都开唔到3次。所以升级前无再额外take backup. 前提是TM 的backup 要先著到机再说吧！对於不打算另买一台mac 的我， slauhk 师兄教路的方法比较管用。

当然我亦明白到硬件固障的不可测，但若因为软件的安装而引致的固障，有别於自然耗损。是绝对是另人失望及不能接受的，将会继续和苹果跟进。

唔好客气，我都是由 “死死死经验” 回来。你那部都好D，我有部旧MACBOOK WHITE UNIBODY，上10.7好慢（之前加了条4G，但经常死，而家唯有用番旧2G先行10.6）

，旧RAM炒到贵哂，要加都成6～7百（平时出街用）唔太值得投资，买了iMac又唔需要UPGRADE部NB。

Its very unusual for hardware failure causes by softwares. In most cases, it is likely that there is a sudden shut off.
Recently I was doing a clean install on Mac OS and it got freeze. I forced it to shut down and my ram memory fails as a result LOL. P.S. Always try to run APPLE HARDWARE TEST before going to Apple Store, it can save you a lot of time or money.
