My MacBook 2008 had mouse pad problem last year. I took it to the Golden Shopping Centre 2nd floor to repair. I wanted to replace the mouse pad.
The repair said the mouse pad and the keyboard is integrated, or I'll need to change the whole keyboard.
But some days later, the shop called me that it was not the keyboard problem, but the battery underneath inflated so it affected the mouse pad. So the outcome was, the shop needed to order a new battery from Singapore. It took me around 2-3 weeks. I remembered I need to spend around HKD 700 to 900 (?) for the repair.
