access right to delete folders on time capsule

Hi Chings,

I just bought a tc for my MacBook Pro. I copied some folders to the tc. I wanted to delete some folders but one folder couldn't be deleted. The error message was about I didn't have permission to access some files. I checked I should've rights to read and write that folder.

Do you have any clues what I could do further to remove that folder? Thanks

Try:

1. use [TinkerTool] to reveal hidden files. Then use Get Info to check those hidden files. If lock, then unlock it. And make sure all read & write are allowed.

2. delete files in the folder, one by one. When hitting deny access on a particular file, check the Get Info Permission. Post the screen capture.

You are welcome. I merely guessed.

I know some previous files' permissions(wheel, system, admin, etc) are diff from new OS

Please share with us, precisely how you solved the problem. Hidden file or some particular file permission, or other matter?

In fact a file (a pic) was locked prohibiting the whole folder to be deleted.

I just created a folder with a locked file.

In Mac, it says...

In TC, it says....

It's exactly the same case for TC. In my case the folder was grey and I couldn't double click to open it. I had to choose open to see and delete the files one by one
