clean install with disc

I'm going to buy a new a ssd to replace my old HDD
I have the snow leopard disc when I bought the MacBookSo after I install my ssd, I just install the disc and do the installation of the os is fine?What should I take note of changing from HDD to SSD

install new ssd, command r when booting, recover the original is from internet. then upgrade to maverick

prepare a maverick bootable in USB. install from USB.

A faster way to directly clean install with Mavericks:

If you are running mavericks now, download apple recovery disk assistance and create a usb recovery partition, boot from that and you will have a clean mavericks installed on your mac.
